Volunteer at Hale Kūʻike
You are invited to join us to enrich the lives of our residents living with dementia. Our volunteers range from high school students to retirees. They donate their time in a number of ways. Some help with crafts, others participate in our daily activities, while some sit quietly or go for garden walks with our residents. Some volunteers share their musical talents with our residents too. Each volunteer makes a difference in their own way.
Group volunteers looking for special projects are also welcome. Our residents help Kiwani’s Club members with special social service projects, such as making stuffed dolls for children in hospitals and Genki Balls to clean the Ala Wai Canal. High school and college groups partner with Hale Ku’ike for their service learning projects.
People interested in volunteering at Hale Kūʻike bring compassion, joy and a wide variety of special skills. There are many roles for volunteers with Hale Kūʻike and we strive to create a match that meets the needs of our programs and facilitates a positive volunteer experience. There is a place for you and your special abilities at Hale Ku'ike!
